Michael Hanson - Chief Financial Officer, Partner
Mike has extensive experience in healthcare. He has worked in every aspect of the business.
Since 1994 he developed his career at the largest nursing home in the upper Midwest eventually becoming Chief Executive Officer. He was responsible for 8 different corporations, a hundred different departments, 2000 employees, 1300 residents and patients, 1000 volunteers, $75 Million in revenue and total assets in excess of $250 million, including an extensive investment portfolio and charitable giving program.
He spent many years building his career: as Medicare Auditor overseeing HMO contracting, government funding streams, and the auditing of these functions for the federal government; as healthcare consultant, managing global projects ranging from the development of the entire Saudi Arabia healthcare system, to over site of fraud and abuse cases for the United States government to the re-design and implementation of operations and financial systems for varied national health care providers.
Mike's role at HSI is to manage all financial aspects of the corporation, from budgets and accounting to tax reporting, also including, information technology and communications, as well as consulting.
Michael Hanson performs consultative services in the areas of Chief Financial Officer, strategic financial management, managed care, charitable giving programs, and investment portfolio management.
