Cynthia Stevens, RN - Senior Clinical Consultant
Cynthia Stevens, RN possesses experience in several facets within the long-term care and home care industry and has practiced since 1982. She specializes in geriatrics and dementing diseases, Medicare rules and regulations, nurse management, and education.
Cynthia has served in a numerous managerial roles in the long-term care industry. Prior to coming to HSI, she served as the Director of Nursing Services and co-owner of a Medicare-certified home care agency. Cynthia also has vast experience in providing education to staff, patients and families as well as serving as a trainer/preceptor to recent RN graduates. Furthermore, she has participated in the development of various tools used in long-term care facilities for purposes such as teaching, charting and critical pathways.
As Clinical Consultant at HSI, Cynthia provides a variety of clinical services to client facilities including regulatory compliance assessments, mock surveys, correction consulting, and functioning in interim Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager roles.
Cynthia graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has held certification in gerontological nursing, dementia care and IV home therapies. She currently holds RN licenses in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin and is currently pursuing certification as a Parish Nurse.
